Here's the local move though: after you get your bridge photo, walk five minutes to the Pebble Beach waterfront. The view of the Brooklyn Bridge with Lower Manhattan behind it is arguably better, and there are about 90% fewer people. The whole DUMBO waterfront from Pebble Beach to Brooklyn Bridge Park is one of the best walks in the city.

For the classic Washington St photo, go before 9am on a weekday. Then walk to Pebble Beach for the real view.
